Should my setup be different for motocross and off-road?
By Travis Flateau, TBT Racing Β· tuning since 1992
Yes. Motocross needs support for big jumps and hard landings; off-road needs comfort and traction over rocks, roots and long rough sections. Same bike, different setup.
- Motocross: more hold-up and bottoming control.
- Enduro, woods and hard enduro: softer, more traction, less deflection.
- Desert and Baja: stable at high speed and strong in whoops.
- GP and hare scrambles: a balance of both.
TBT build sheets cover all of these: motocross, enduro, GP, desert, hare scramble, hard enduro, Baja, GNCC and more.
