I'm a heavier (or lighter) rider. What should change?

Start with springs that match your weight in street clothes. Then the valving should match too, because a heavier rider pushes the suspension faster and a lighter rider can't move stiff valving.
- Heavier riders: stiffer springs, plus valving that holds up without getting harsh.
- Lighter riders, women and youth: softer springs, plus lighter valving so the suspension actually moves.
