Kawasaki KX450 suspension setup
By Travis Flateau, TBT Racing Β· from 280+ TBT build sheets, 2016β2026
The KX450 runs a KYB coil fork and Uni-Trak shock. Heavier riders usually need stiffer springs than stock to keep the bike level and stop it bottoming.
| Rider weight | Fork springs | Shock spring |
|---|---|---|
| 150β169 lb | .50 | 5.3 |
| 170β189 lb | .52 | 5.5 |
| 190β209 lb | .54 | 5.5 |
| 210+ lb | .56 | 6.0 |
Year and riding style change the right spring. Treat this as a starting point.
